What is Detection?

Detection detects the types and locations of meaningful objects such as people, animals and vehicles.
Detection can be used for couting the number of products, finding missing parts, or detecting defects etc.
Detection represents a detected object(SR_DetectedBox) as a bounding rectangle, a class index, and a object score.

Workflow for Detection

The workflow of Detection is not much different from the basic's. Make sure you have first read Common workflow. This section offers only Detection -specific workflow.

1. Construct handles of model file and inspection results through Detection's handle construction.
2. (Optional) Check Detection's class information.
3. (Optional) Check Inspection options and set new values.
   • Detection's score threshold
   • Detection's area threshold
   • Max number of boxes
   • Detection's forward time limit
4. Allocate memory on cpu and gpu through Memory-allocation functions.
5. Inspect images through Detection's inspection functions.
6. Retrieve inspection results through Detection's inspection results.
7. Destruct handles of model file and inspection results through Detection's handle destruction.
